The implementation of the general consolidated budget – January – February 2017

On Monday, the 27th of March 2017, the Ministry of Public Finances reported that the implementation of the general, consolidated budget respective to the first two months of the current year was completed thus – a surplus of 397,1 million lei was recorded, i.e. 0,05% of the GDI.

 

Issuing of agreement Memorandum referring to state control of the port in the Black Sea area

On Thursday, the 23rd of March 2017, Order no. 299/107 for the issuing of the agreement Memorandum referring to state control of the port in the Black Sea area was published in the Official Journal of Romania, part I, as it was amended on the 13th of April 2016, through the 11th Amendment.

The agreement Memorandum was adopted in Paris, the 26th of January 1982, ratified through Law no. 113/2008.

 

Law no. 34/2017 regarding the setting up of the infrastructure for alternative fuel

On Wednesday, the 29th of March 2017, Law no. 34/2017 regarding the setting up of the infrastructure for alternative fuel was published in the Official Journal of Romania, part I, no. 214.

The law refers to the measures meant for the setting up the infrastructure for alternative fuel in order to reduce the use of petrol to the lowest level possible, and to lower the impact of transportation on the environment.

For this, certain requirements are set by the law; in this respect, stations for the recharging of electric vehicles, CNG-powered vehicles, LNG-powered vehicles, and hydrogen-powered vehicles will have to be provided, including technical information to users.

 

Clearing of minimum wage for apprentices and interns

On Thursday, the 30th of March 2017, the Government decided to bear the minimum wage for both apprentices and interns whose activity is taking place on Romanian territory, according to a press release.

As such, the employer signs a contract with the apprentice or intern who, at their request, will receive 1125 lei/month for the duration of their apprenticeship, or 1350 lei/month for the duration of their internship, sums taken from the unemployment benefits budget.

Ongoing contracts, at the date of law’s entry into force, will produce for the agreed period.
