New law regarding CAL – Law no. 132/2017 regarding mandatory civil motor vehicle liability for third party damages by vehicle and tram accidents
On Monday, the 12th of May 2017, Law no. 132/2017 regarding mandatory civil motor vehicle liability for third party damages by vehicle and tram accidents was published in The Official Journal of Romania, Part I, no. 431.
The law comes into force 30 days after publication.

Explanatory notes on amending request regarding free access to public information
On Tuesday, the 13th of June 2017, the Ministry of Health provided explanations in the context of the publishing of information according to which the amending of the Law regarding free access to public information was requested.
Full text: `As a result of the information appearing in some mass-media publications according to which the Ministry of Health requested the amending of Law no. 544/2001 regarding free access to public information, the Press Department of the Ministry of Health makes the following explanation for the correct communication to the public opinion:
The decision in respect to the amending of Law no. 544/2001 regarding free access to public information represents the initiative of the Ministry of Public Consultation and Social Dialogue, within its attributions.
To this moment, the Ministry of Health never proposed the amending of this law.
At the request of the Ministry of Public Consultation and Social Dialogue, the specialised staff in the Ministry of Health considers the opportunity of improving the aforementioned normative act.`

On Tuesday, the 13th of June 2017, the National Agency of Fiscal Administration met with representatives from the National Union of Public Notaries from Romania, whom they informed that natural person real estate developers must declare their income obtained from selling real estate property from the business patrimony until the 30th of July 2017.

Amendment approval to the annex of the 1973 International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships
On Thursday, the 15th of June 2017, the Ministry of Transportation launched into public debate the draft of the Minister’s Order regarding the publishing of the amendment approval to the annex of the 1973 International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships, as it was amended through the 1978 Protocol – Amendments to Annex II to MARPOL, adopted by the International Maritime Organisation through MEPC.270(69) Resolution of the Marine Environment Protection Committee from the 22nd of April 2016.

Amending of norms regarding authorisation and operating of driving schools
On Thursday, the 15th of May 2017, the Ministry of Transportation launched into public debate the Minister’s Order for the amending of art. 19 and art. 20 from `Norms regarding the authorisation and operating of driving schools` – Annex no. 1 to the Minister of Transportation’s Order no. 773/2013 for the approval of Norms regarding the authorisation and operating of driving schools, Norms regarding the professional certification of road legislation and driving instructors, the Methodology for the organisation and development of theoretical and practical preparatory courses of persons for the procurement of the driving license, the Schooling Program, as well as the conditions and obligations for the organisation and development of theoretical and practical preparatory courses.
