A new generation of leaders: Deloitte Romania promotes seven senior experts to directors

Bucharest, 25 October 2017. Deloitte Romania announces the promotion to the position of director of seven senior experts from business lines that have recorded significant growth in the financial year that ended in May: tax, audit and financial advisory services.

Tax Services
Ramona Trusculescu has around ten years of experience in the tax practice gained in Deloitte, where she specialized in indirect tax. Ramona had a secondment in the Deloitte Brussels office, where she was involved in international VAT projects for various companies. She is currently leading the VAT compliance team, focusing on organizing the indirect tax compliance processes in the most effective and efficient way, on reducing the time allocated to recurrent activities and maintaining a high quality level of service. Ramona has served both domestic, as well as international companies from all industries offering them a
complex range of services: from assistance to register VAT, VAT reports, support in controls on reimbursing VAT, to fiscal deregistration. She is a graduate in Economics from Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest where she also is studying for a Master degree and is a member of the Romanian Chamber of Tax Consultants since 2013.

Raluca Baldea was already an experienced tax consultant when she joined the Deloitte Romania’s indirect tax department in 2013. During the past years, she has been involved in large VAT projects, both for domestic as well as multinational companies. Working mainly for real estate, energy and manufacturing clients, Raluca has gained significant knowledge of these industries. Due to her deep understanding of clients’ activity, she could offer support in advising on complex tax, restructuring, due diligence or assistance during VAT audits or tax litigations. Raluca holds a BA in Business Administration from the Academy of
Economic Studies in Bucharest – the English section, is a member of the Romanian Chamber of Tax Consultants and is a tax expert registered at National Courts as well as a chartered tax advisor. Besides her consultancy projects, she is a dedicated and appreciated speaker during numerous conferences and dedicated tax seminars.

Bogdan Barbu joined Deloitte in 2008 when the transfer pricing team had just been set up. He had a significant contribution to the team’s development to today’s 40 dedicated professionals. During this time, he engaged in numerous projects of transfer pricing, international taxation, gaining solid experience in offering solutions to a large variety of companies, both domestic and multinational. Throughout his career, Bogdan has gained a strong business knowledge and improved his expertise in transfer pricing strategies in various fields such as manufacturing, life sciences, business services, retail and FMCG. Bogdan holds a BA in International Business and a post-graduate degree in the Management of International Business. He also holds a Transfer Pricing Certificate awarded by the Chartered Institute of Taxation in London and is a chartered certified tax advisor, member of the Romanian Chamber of Tax Consultants.

Radu Derscariu is a member of Deloitte’s tax department, part of the Global Employer Services team. He is specialized on expatriates’ advisory and compliance matters, advising local and multinational companies on the tax treatment of remuneration packages for employees and assisting inbound expatriates to meet all the necessary immigration and tax compliance requirements in Romania. Working with Deloitte since 2010, Radu has over ten years of professional experience in serving both multinational and local companies with a focus on the companies in the energy sector. Radu is a chartered certified tax advisor and member of the Romanian Chamber of Tax Consultants. He holds a major in Finance and Law and two post-graduate / MA degrees in Finance and European Economy.

 

Audit
Andreea Gheorghe has more than 12 years of experience in financial audit with Deloitte. During this time, she was involved in large scope audit missions for both local and multinational companies acting in various industries such as oil and gas, manufacturing, retail and media. Andreea assisted in financial reports for various beneficiaries, accountancy assistance, aggregate procedures missions, as well as financial analysis missions. She was also involved in defining and implementing development programs for the audit team. Her expertise is also certified through her membership in professional associations such as ACCA, CAFR, CECCAR.

Andreea Zoescu has been with Deloitte since 2008 advising both domestic and international clients, as she spent more than 18 months in Belgium. Andreea was involved in large scope audits, being responsible for coordinating audits for client with subsidiaries in various countries and various fields (real estate, manufacturing, investment funds, media, and tourism). She coordinated the audit for several companies operating in the real estate and media industries, which she has in depth knowledge of. Andreea is a certified auditor for CAFR, CECCAR and a FCCA member.

Financial Advisory
Marius Vasilescu has over 14 years of experience in finance and accountancy of whichtwelve spent in Big 4 companies. He joined Deloitte Romania as a manager in the valuation and modelling team part of the Financial Advisory department at the end of 2014. He currently coordinates the valuation and modelling team. During his career, he built a strong experience in business and assets valuation and financial feasibility studies, as well as support in assessing business plans. Among his clients, Marius counts large oil and gas, commercial banks, media companies, telecom and electricity operators as well as large
retailers. He coordinated important projects of business and assets valuation, establishing the acquisition price for large deals, or offered assistance in building the business plan. As a member of the National Association of Authorized Romanian Valuers, Marius is also a member of ACCA and CECCAR. He holds a degree in accountancy and informatics, with a specialism in audit and controls, at the Academy of Economic Studies Bucharest.
