Anti-plastic Ordinance adopted. On Wednesday, the 25th of August 2021, the Government adopted the draft Ordinance prohibiting the commercialising of certain single-use plastic products. The Ordinance enters into force at the end of the month, and the following products are prohibited: cotton swabs, single-use cutlery and plates, balloons and balloon sticks, food wrappers and plastic cups, other wrappers used for drinks, cigarette filters, straws for drinks, with exceptions, plastic bags, plastic wrappers, wet wipes and other plastic hygiene products.
