CMS advised Libra Internet Bank on EUR 40m bond issue

International law firm CMS has advised Libra Internet Bank on a EUR 40m bond issue. The bonds have a nominal value of EUR 100,000, with a 7-year maturity, on 28 September 2028, and a fixed coupon rate of 4.25% per year. The bonds are listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange from 3 December 2021. This successful project represents a new stage in the evolution of the issuer, and of this type of bond, and is very important for credit institutions and for diversifying the type of instruments admitted to the capital market.

The private placement was carried out by Raiffeisen Bank, as global coordinator and manager, and Alpha Bank Romania, as manager, and the listing of the bonds on the Bucharest Stock Exchange was done with the support of Alpha Bank Romania. The CMS team assisted Libra Internet Bank on all legal aspects of the bond issue.

CMS Bucharest’s capital markets team is one of the most experienced in Romania and is top-ranked by prestigious international publications Chambers and Partners, The Legal 500 and IFLR1000.
