New UN Resolution regarding the humanitarian consequences of the aggression against Ukraine. On Thursday, March 24, 2022, the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that the General Assembly of the United Nations has issued a Resolution that deals with the humanitarian consequences of the current aggression against Ukraine. Romana has co-sponsorised this resolution, along with other 88 member states, at the initiative of France and Mexico.
This resolution reaffirms the support of the UN for the independence, territorial integrity and unity of Ukraine within its internationally acknowledged borders, and stresses the utmost necessity for the full application of the Resolution of the General Assembly of March 2, 2022. The vast majority of UN member states demand the immediate halt of any aggression and condemn the overriding of international humanitarian law, encouraging a peaceful, diplomatic solution to the current conflict.
