On Monday, the 6th of February2023, the Romanian Senate adopted the proposal amending and supplementing Law no. 349/2002 on the prevention and control of tobacco product consumption; thus individuals under 18 are prohibited from tobacco consumption in public spaces, and can be the subject of fines between 100 and 500 RON.
