CMS promotes two to senior associate in its Romania Office

CMS Romania is pleased to announce the promotion of Raluca Diaconeasa (Energy) and Andreea Turcu (Banking & Finance) to senior associates as of 1 July 2023.

Raluca Diaconeasa is a member of the Energy team. Raluca specialises in energy, oil & gas, environmental law and corporate matters with a focus on renewable energy. Raluca has worked on power projects, renewables and emissions trading, regulatory and commercial arrangements, transactions in the renewable energy and oil & gas sectors, and on some of the largest, most complex M&A transactions and projects in the energy sector in Romania to date, as well as on ground-breaking projects such as the first IPO of a Romanian energy project on the Toronto Stock Exchange.

Andreea Turcu is a member of the Banking & Finance team. She specialises in banking and finance law and primarily assists banks and other financial institutions in Romania and beyond on local and cross-border financings. Andreea advises on various matters, including project and real estate finance, and other financing structures, including on drafting and negotiating English and Romanian law documentation and managing transactions and teams in various jurisdictions. Andreea has recently completed a one-year secondment with a leading European financial institution.
