Voicu & Asociații strengthens its management team by promoting Marta Popa to the position of Deputy Managing Partner.
In recognition of her contribution to the firm, Marta Popa has been promoted to the position of Deputy Managing Partner as of March 1, 2024. She is one of the members of the team with which Voicu & Filipescu started its journey, since its launch in 2001, being appointed partner and member of the managing board in 2006.
Her practice portfolio covers various areas such as corporate advice, mergers and acquisitions, project finance, data protection and employment law, as well as public procurement in sectors such as energy and healthcare. She has been involved in some of the most important legal investigations and transactions in Romania, acquiring particular expertise in conducting extensive company reviews and drafting due diligence reports, advising major foreign clients or the Romanian state during private acquisitions or sales of state-owned stakes in Romanian companies.
Marta Popa also has over 20 years of experience in assisting leading global companies in the field of management consulting and IT services, advising on complex outsourcing contracts, specific employee work structures, data protection and privacy. She has authored legal articles published in various international and Romanian journals and guides.
