eFactura deadline extended to May 31, 2024

On March 29, 2024, Emergency Government Ordinance no. 30/2023 amending and supplementing Law no. 227/2015 pertaining to the Fiscal Code, as well as art. LIX of law no. 296/2023 regarding certain fiscal and budgetary measure ensuring the long-term sustainability of Romania was published  in the Official Journal of Romania, Part I, no. 272. As per the newest amendment, the deadline for uploading invoices on the eFactura platform outside the five-day term without being sanctioned was extended to May 31, 2024. [source]

Fiscal benefits for blood donors
On April 3, 2024, Law no. 74/2024 amending and supplementing Law no. 227/2015 on the Fiscal Code was published in the Official Journal of Romania, Part I, no. 290; the amendment would allow local councils to grant reductions on building taxes for natural persons who own a building located in Romania and can provide proof of at least three blood donations during a calendar year.
